WordPress Category Management System Development

A custom WordPress category management system that enables flexible, many-to-many category relationships for better product organisation and navigation.

Abdul started on work immediately and finished the project ahead of our schedule, and made it easy for non-technical admins to update.

Project overview

The brief

The client needed a custom category solution because the default WordPress parent-child hierarchy was too limited, and sub-categories needed to belong to multiple parent categories.

The solution also had to display relevant products whenever a category was selected, following the provided design.

Our solution

What we built

We built a custom category builder that lets administrators create and manage many-to-many category relationships from the WordPress dashboard, with the front-end updating automatically.

A custom archive template presents a clean, organised product layout, and the code was optimised for faster rendering.

Key features
  • Flexible many-to-many category relationships
  • Multiple parent categories for one sub-category
  • Drag-and-drop category management
  • Dynamic product results based on selected categories
  • Custom archive template for a clean layout
  • Automatic sync between backend settings and frontend
